Bummer, I just went back to the Urologist this morning. Let's just say I've experience a trauma in the area a urologist specializes in,and over the last year we've treated the area with massive doses of Vitamin E, tamaflin compounded in a cream, all to no avail. All the while a calcifying mass has grown along the, uh, shaft. It is rather painful, and to add misery,in the last 4 months an extreme curvature has developed. Needless to say, sex has been less than enjoyable ( at least for me )....

OK, Devil's advocate here. After listening to portions of the various speeches at the Million More March, the events of the Toledo Riot, and the ongoing racially tinged Katrina debaucle, I just gotta ask.....Is Black Power superior to White Power ? "Black Power" masses several thousand ( give or take a 100K here or there ) protesters for a demonstration in DC, the event is covered by every media outlet known to man ( with their camera's focused exclusively on the podium ) and the basi...

OK, Katrina has passed, Ophelia crepted by my part of the world, and Rita is dead-heading for Texas, here is what you should have already done if you're in a hurricane prone area; GET OUT !!!! GO AWAY !!! COME AGAIN SOME OTHER DAY... If by some logic you either have not left, or cannot leave, here is some very friendly advice; If you are within 40 miles of the expected landfall, Pray, 'cause nothing I say that follows will help you in the eye of the storm. If you are within ...

Ant and the Grasshopper By Jack Schitt ORIGINAL VERSION: The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying in supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold. MODERN VERSION: The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and...

I submitted this a while back, thought it was still topical. This article was on my local papers web site, after reading Philo's recent article I felt it was germane; Ministers Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Washington, D.C.'s Mayor Anthony Williams and others recently met to discuss plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the October 1995 Million Man March. Whilst reading about the plans, I thought of an excellent topic for the event: how not to be poor. Avoiding lon...

Used Car Dealer Reveals "Best Buys" This is another rambling, spur of the moment, thinking as I'm writing info piece. My recomendations are based on 20 years in the Automotive business, and my personal experience I'll try to categorize by style, budget, and age..... 1. Euro-Lux Under 30k; I've been out of this market for so long I don't know what to tell you other than Look at maint logs, expect to spend $300 to $500 every 5000 miles on routine maint. I'd also shy away from...

OK, I've recieved my fair share of grief for the ways in which I provide for my family. I've been more than self-deprecating on occasion, but I am rather proud of the fact that I do what I do, and do it very well. For those that don't know, I derive my income by providing housing , transportation, and the funds to purchase that transportation, to those who, otherwise, would go without. Yes, I am a landlord, loanshark, repo man, and used car dealer. These are high risk and un...

I'll preface this article by stating that I am the father of FIVE children, I base the following statements, opinions, observations, and conclusions soley on my personal experience. I am not a Child Phycologist, Social Worker, Advice Columnist, nor am I a bad parent...( considering I have five kids you could make an argument that I am insane tho...) My oldest son is 24, he presently lives in one of my rental houses with "his baby's momma", she's a BSRN, and despite 3 years of pare...

I saw this new category and figured it would be a great place to impart a little wisdom. I've been in the car business since 1985 and the following random thoughts and sugestions are based on that 20 years of experience. First and foremost, do your homework ! For many people an automotive purchase is the largest single expense in their life. Don't fall in love with a machine, educate yourself on the fact that you are only purchasing a means of transportation. The advertisements of pow...

This just crawled over my tool bar; Paris Hilton Cuts Ties With Nicole Richie April 21, 2005 10:22 AM EDT NEW YORK - Paris Hilton is hot ... over something Nicole Richie did. But the hotel heiress isn't saying what's behind the feud with her co-"Simple Life" star. "It's no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends," Hilton said in a statement Wednesday. "Nicole knows what she did, and that's all I'm ever going to say about it." Last week, Hilton, 24, told USA Today that...

We live in a small southern town, complete with a dying textile and agricultural economic base. No fast paced lifestyles to hustle thru, no traffic jams, no big problems to speak of. But reality is mirroring fantasy in the personal relationship department, it seems that every episode of "Desperate Housewives" has played out within our circle of friends. In the last year 3 middle-aged friends, with families, jobs, and no obvious problems, killed themselves...... In the last year 5 coup...

Last time I looked at my credit card statement i saw no charges from JU or Stardock, I bet if you're reading this it didn't cost you anything for access ( beyond your ISP cost ) either. I realize that this is FREE SPACE to blog on to my hearts content. I enjoy reading, commenting, and occassionally posting an article. BUT.... When free is implied you have to consider the providers intent; Brad does have a company out there to promote, and I'm sure some advertising revenue occurs, but ve...

Sometimes, when I consider my lifes direction, I question why I didn't go to law school. I have just completed my second masters, this time it was a Liberal Arts degree in Humanities ( useless, except for Jepardy Trivia ) the first was the prerequisite MBA ( makes bankers smile when applying for business loans ) yet I fumble with the thoughts of a JD. The issues of liability in business are fraught with the implications of financial demise, the largest expense in this situation is legal...

As I rode into the office this morning I was mildly amused by a JB&B parody of "The Honeymooners". I then sat at my desk, drinking coffee from my "Nip it in the bud" mug, and contemplated the caliber of Side Kicks offered by entertainment over the years. This includes those characters who were either comic relief, supporting cast, or recurring cameos.... The short list that comes to mind, this early in the morning, is comprised of the following characters; That whiny rich girl on Wi...

What is the purpose of wearing clothes 5 sizes too big? Not only that but unlaced boots, tee shirts that hang below the knees, and jackets that resemble sleeping bags? As a child, I recall my mother buying school clothes that may have been a little large, this in order to compensate for growth, but what I have seen as of late is beyond thrift, it's absurd. I have heard that these fashions are based on Prison Chic, and I have seen them displayed in various Hip Hop/Rap videos, but why?...
