"There was a crooked man........"

Bummer, I just went back to the Urologist this morning. Let's just say I've experience a trauma in the area a urologist specializes in,and over the last year we've treated the area with massive doses of Vitamin E, tamaflin compounded in a cream, all to no avail.
All the while a calcifying mass has grown along the, uh, shaft. It is rather painful, and to add misery,in the last 4 months an extreme curvature has developed. Needless to say, sex has been less than enjoyable ( at least for me ).

Today I got the dreaded "Referal to Duke", which in North Carolina means " you gotta a problem to big for me to handle" ( no pun intended ) The referal is to a surgeon who specializes in treatment for this, er, condition. A web site rather graphically discribed the procedure, complete with alternate grafting options, potential complications from scarring, and the post-operative therapys, to include medication to eliminate, well, desire. 6 to 8 weeks recovery, and then the chance of prostisis.

The only silver lining in this was the mass is not malegnate (whooppee) you can only imagine the pain of that biopsy....All of this transpired from a simple climbing accident, not even an accident really, I slipped, fell and recovered, but my leg harness was a little loose, so it "Pinched" the affore mentioned area I have eluded to. ( No good deed goes unpunished )The pain just never really went away.

Is there anyone else out there who has been through this procedure? My imagination can find no rosy pictures to envision......

So it goes.....

Dyno! You know BlueDev, the guy that blogs here? He's a urology resident at Duke!!! You might get him as your doc!

I don't know anyone who has been through it, but I'll go search and see if I can find anything more for you....brb.
