Dynosoar's Articles In Blogging
December 10, 2003 by Dynosoar
I've been at this for almost a week now. How'm I doin? Are the articles too long? Are the topics interesting, or at least entertaining ? What can I do to improve, change, or otherwise increase readability? Any comments, good, bad, or indifferent, would be most appreciated( I think ) .

At this time of Holiday Cheer, goodwill, and associated warmth I present a reality check of sorts.... First, let me point out that this is personal observation on a local level, no investigative research went into this ,it is nothing more than my opinion, your area may experience armies of good deed doers, but I doubt it. The US Junior Chamber of Commerce is a service organization that is dedicated to teaching leadership by way of community service to 21-39 year olds. The chapters in my ...

I confess. I am guilty. I came to create this blog for an outlet, to think out loud, to comment on my daily life, but then I saw my points were low, and my readership as well, so I fell into the instigation syndrone, prompting an overall stimulating debate, however it's just not really my style. I emulated, if not, imitated, the style of several great bloggers here at JU, Oh my facts and representations are true, I do not retract a single statement made, or position taken, but I ...

I've been surfing Joeuser the last few days of my return, to find that prolific writers have become somewhat snobish in their pursuit of "points". I have returned not for rankings, but for the purely selfish ability to spout my warped and boring opinions to any who may read them. Before I lost my password and went into self-imposed silence, I had opined to the rank of 30 something within the timespan of about a month. Perhaps I may once again attain that lofty, and now exclusive, status once ...

The other day I had the unique opportunity to purchase a 1987 Caddy Fleetwood stretch Limo, complete with bar and sunroof. This is the style limo every bad guy on Miami Vice ended up getting shot in. Or for the gamers in the readership, it's the Limo in Vice City. It was pretty rough, having spent the last few years shuttling drunks from a local club. I had it repainted Artic White with so much pearl in the clear coat it looks like it's frosted. For the proper look I went with super wide whi...

Beginning of week 2 of my blogging, and I show signs of addiction. Every day now consist of reading new post, commenting when motivated, and withholding comment when prudent. I have also attempted to post daily for the sheer joy of clearing my head of the topic I opin upon. I was amazed when an article of mine was featured last week, and selected over 3000 times. Readership like that could motivate one to delusions of grandeur..............( thanks for the ego boost joeuser ) Now the negativ...

OK, I've recieved my fair share of grief for the ways in which I provide for my family. I've been more than self-deprecating on occasion, but I am rather proud of the fact that I do what I do, and do it very well. For those that don't know, I derive my income by providing housing , transportation, and the funds to purchase that transportation, to those who, otherwise, would go without. Yes, I am a landlord, loanshark, repo man, and used car dealer. These are high risk and un...

I saw this new category and figured it would be a great place to impart a little wisdom. I've been in the car business since 1985 and the following random thoughts and sugestions are based on that 20 years of experience. First and foremost, do your homework ! For many people an automotive purchase is the largest single expense in their life. Don't fall in love with a machine, educate yourself on the fact that you are only purchasing a means of transportation. The advertisements of pow...

We live in a small southern town, complete with a dying textile and agricultural economic base. No fast paced lifestyles to hustle thru, no traffic jams, no big problems to speak of. But reality is mirroring fantasy in the personal relationship department, it seems that every episode of "Desperate Housewives" has played out within our circle of friends. In the last year 3 middle-aged friends, with families, jobs, and no obvious problems, killed themselves...... In the last year 5 coup...

Last time I looked at my credit card statement i saw no charges from JU or Stardock, I bet if you're reading this it didn't cost you anything for access ( beyond your ISP cost ) either. I realize that this is FREE SPACE to blog on to my hearts content. I enjoy reading, commenting, and occassionally posting an article. BUT.... When free is implied you have to consider the providers intent; Brad does have a company out there to promote, and I'm sure some advertising revenue occurs, but ve...
